Im on 3 40mg extended release oxycontin, 4 30mg Roxicodone,3 350mg soma, 3 300mg of neurontin And 4 2mg of xanax a day. ive been on oxycodone for 11 years now and i think its lost its effectiveness due to my tolerance.

Im only 24 and have been seeing doctors for my pain since i was 13. i suffer from fibro, lupus, Spondylolysis, my discs are sitting on top of each other out of alignment and grinding together and my sciatic nerve trapped between 2 discs. (LUCKY ME!! NOT)

The surgeon reccomended a double surgery (one abdominal, one through my back) to place cartlidge spacers and rods and bolts plus moving the nerve from between the 2 discs. Im trying my best to avoid surgery since there is only a 75% chance it will improve any. The surgery could make it worse or cause nerve damage or bruising.Anyone had a successful back surgery?. (my mom had 3 and when she got it fixed the discs above it went wacko) all i’ve heard is bad things about back surgery.

even with the dose im on i still suffer from severe pain…so bad that most days i can do nothing but lay in bed.. i cant stand for more than 30 minutes without my back locking up and having shooting pains and spasms.
Morphine makes me extremely sick to my stomach and i’ve tried lyrica..neither were helpful.
Any suggestions of any more effective medications i can mention to my doc would be greatly appreciated!!! please help me!!!! im desperate

i have a wonderful pain mngt. doc. that will basically write what you ask for as long as its reasonable so i need some suggestions !!! PLEASE HELP!!!

i have spinal stenosis, arthritis and fibromyalgia, i have been on soma and lorcet for the past 6 years three times per day. my doctor runs a drug screen and has informed me he can no longer be my dr, they said it was + hydrocodone (true) and morphine, darvocet, which is untrue. he has dismissed several other pts who they say failed also. i am unable to find another physician now with this on my record. is there a way to get it removed or what can i do. i dont do any other drugs except for my prescribed meds. i am a RN and that would scare me to death for the fear of losing my job. can anyone help me please.

did the short amount of time being on it, help me have fewer withdrawls?

I am having some major problems with my knees right now. I have always had problems with them. I have what is called “backward knees” when I straighten them out they kind of bend backwards where there is a big dip between my thigh and lower leg. I have retaught myself how to walk to lessen the damage but my knees are really weak and hurt alot. For the past five years I have been in and out of braces and on and off of crutches. Here lately I haven’t been able to wear my brace because i can’t bend my leg with it and it slows me down which is impossible to do when you are chasing a 2 year old around the house. I have tried using just a support brace but it doesn’t really help. The strongest pain reliever I can take is lortab because I am pregnant but I am still very much in pain. Sometimes the pain is so bad I cry and sometimes it makes me physically sick. The reason they are hurting so baddly right now is because I accidentally stepped wrong and my foot slid a few inches. Please help me
find a way to deal with this. I would love to go back to wearing my knee imobilizer but it gets in my way and slows me down. Any advice?

I take paxil CLR for depression and I want to get off of it because im becoming dependent on it. If or when i run out I have major withdraws. Its the worst feeling in the world! HELP.

I was prescribed Ambien 20mgs today. I also had back surgery not long ago and take Oxycodone 15 mgs twice a day. (Both prescribed by same dr.) I took the Oxycodone at 6am and again at 1pm. Is it safe to take the Ambien around 8 or 9pm? Has anyone else ever been on these meds?
